Aujourd’hui, le Pater Noyé a retrouvé son ukulélé qu’il avait laissé chez moi l’année dernière. Convaincu qu’un vrai chant de noël ne doit être joué qu’au ukulélé, il s’est trouvé une chanteuse (et quelle chanteuse !) et a commencé à gratter…


Today, Pater Noyé (a.k.a. Santa Claus for all you mindless consumers of popular culture) found the ukulele that he had forgotten at my place last year (and I thought it was a present!). Sure that a true yuletide melody should be song to the dulcet tones of the ukulele, he found himself a singer (and what a singer!) and started strumming away...

3 - v’LA L’PATeR qui fait Rudy

Aujourd’hui, le Pater Noyé m’a expliqué qu’il avait prénommé son renne fétiche (Rudy) en hommage à la figure de trampoline bien connue. Car notre cher vieillard dans sa jeunesse, faisait partis de l’équipe nationale de gymnastique du Pôle Nord et malgré son grand âge (qu’il n’a pas voulu me dévoiler), il a tenu à nous faire une démonstration.

Today, Pater Noyé ( a.k.a. Santa Claus, for all you victims of Coca-Cola commercial brainwashing) told me that he had named his iconic reindeer Rudy as an hommage to the well-known trampoline move, since the dear old man was, in his youth, a star member of the North Pole’s national gymnastics team. In spite of his advanced age (undisclosed), he insisted on giving us a demonstration.

Bonne nouvelle. Le Pater Noyé vient d'arriver des étendues glacées du Pôle Nord, où il vit en ermite, reclus de toutes formes de vies civilisées (ce qui n'empêche pas le contact avec les rennes et les ours polaires, les pingouins étant une espèce déjà trop évoluée, ne bénéficient pas de ce privilège et préfèrent marcher tels des empereurs...) et ne descend sous nos latitudes que pour venir tourner le calendrier de l'avent (et nous l'en remercions... Non, vraiment, on insiste, c'est vraiment un mec super sympa....). Bref. Le fait est qu'il a très froid et qu'il va nous danser une danse traditionnelle laponne afin de se réchauffer. Envoyez la Musique...

Great news! Santa Claus (to whom we shall heretofor refer as Le Pater Noyé) has just arrived from the icy wastelands of the North Pole, where he lives as a hermit, isolated from all types of civilization (which does not prevent him from gettin it on with the reindeer and the polar bears, but not with the penguins who are a highly evolved species and do not have access to this priviledge and prefer to walk, emperor-style) and only comes down to our latitudes to film the advent calendar (and we would like to thank him ... no, really, we do, he’s really such a nice guy). Anyway. The thing is that he’s really cold and is going to do a tranditional dance from Lapland in order to warm himself up. Roll the music ...
